Museum presented with a bus! |
John Scott-Adams from Witham, a keen model maker, was so struck by the picture (right) on a Christmas card that he decided to make a model of the bus and present it to Coggeshall museum. The model of Hutley's 1914 motor bus, along with a background of Hutley's premises in Church Street also made by John, features again in this year's exhibition. |

AWARD FOR MUSEUM
Coggeshall museum was awarded a grant of £2,315 from 'Awards for All' towards the purchase of 3 new display cases. These cases were necessary to enable the museum to fully comply with the Disability Discrimination Act and are now in place in the museum - they were made by a Coggeshall craftsman and a firm situated on the Earls Colne Airfield complex. The match-funding consisted of money that had been raised by the volunteers at the museum and volunteer 'man-hours' required to finish the project. |
