Earls Colne Heritage Museum
A new museum in Earls Colne village, one of Coggeshall's nearest neighbours. The museum is situated in an old water tower which was part of the Atlas works belonging to Hunts.

Braintree District Museum

"Threads of Time" tells the story of Braintree District and its important place in our island's history. By creativity and skill, the people of the area developed ideas which shaped 20th Century life. Gallery exhibits interpret the diverse local industrial heritage: the production of fabrics for State occasions during the past 200 years and innovations in metal window design and man-made textiles in which our District led the world.

East Anglian Railway Museum

The finest and most comprehensive collection of period railway architecture and engineering in East Anglia.  It is always worthwhile visiting the Museum, whether on an operating day or not. There is plenty to see and do - including visiting three preserved signal boxes, the Restoration Shed, and lots more. All exhibits are restored and maintained by volunteers who are involved in all areas of the Museum and new recruits are always welcome. On operating days, steam trains run on the demonstration line.The Museum's miniature railway normally operates on all operating days, except in the event of adverse weather.
